Robert (Bob) Callahan Joins Hitachi Maxco, Ltd. as Executive Director, Business Development and Marketing

Hitachi Maxco, Ltd. today announces that Mr. Bob Callahan will join Hitachi Maxco, Ltd. on April 14, 2008 as “Executive Director, Business Development and Marketing” reporting to Mr. David Egbert, Vice President, Industrial Chain Division. Mr. Callahan will assist in the development and implementation of strategic business plans for the purpose of enhancing the Hitachi Industrial Chain brands in the North and South American marketplaces.

Mr. Callahan began his career in industrial distribution with Bearing Headquarters in the Chicago area before joining U.S. Tsubaki in 1983 where he became the Senior Vice President Sales, Marketing and Operations. In 2004 Bob joined Regina Chain Worldwide as Chief Executive Officer and oversaw the development of global operational, sales and logistics programs for that company. During his career Mr. Callahan has served as a member of various boards of directors and has been active in a variety of industry associations including the Power Transmission Distributor Association (PTDA) who presented him with the Warren Pike Award in 2004 and the European Power Transmission Distributor Association (EPTDA).

Mr. Callahan possesses a wealth of industry, sales, marketing and operational experience which we feel can be utilized to enhance our market position and his appointment reflects the commitment Hitachi Maxco, Ltd. has made to service the industrial chain market in North and South America.
