Webster Industries Inc. and Hitachi Maxco, Ltd. today announce the formation of a Strategic Alliance for the purpose of offering its global customer base more choices in selecting high quality, cost competitive industrial chain products and material handling equipment. Hitachi’s extensive global sales reach and name brand recognition combined with Webster’s high quality, cost competitive USA based manufacturing facilities will together offer one of the most complete, high performance chain lines in the world.
The alliance will offer products manufactured by both companies in Europe, Asia, Africa, Mexico, Central and South America. The North American marketplace, with the exception of Mexico, is currently serviced by both companies independently and will not be a part of this alliance agreement.
We expect that the collaboration between Hitachi and Webster will allow each company to build on their individual strengths while providing additional resources and capabilities to improve the quality, reliability and breadth of the products that we bring to the marketplace.
